About the job

Main responsibility for this position is: Dailybooking and monitoring of deliveries starting from 16 European countries to receivers worldwide.
The transport planners are responsible for securing that goods are picked up and delivered on time.

YOUR main tasks:

· to book, reschedule, monitor & cancel shipments
· to update/review extra costs in shipments
· to select optimal transport solutions
· to work in close cooperation with other relevant stakeholders in our Supply Chain to solve operational issues & optimize the transport booking process
· to investigate claims with regard to extra costs & resolve claim issues YOU are our candidate if you:

· have education or valid experience in transport/logistics or related area
· have the ability to work with a computer from a user perspective
· are fluent in German & advanced in English, both in writing & speaking
· are service & goal oriented, open minded & able to implement and follow-up
· have possessing very good communication skills
· are able to solve problems under stress
· have ability to find new solutions and to optimize the existing ones
· are able to see IKEA as a whole and keep the focus on the IKEA customer

Additional Information :

The salary is based on Tarifvertrag Groß- und Außenhandel Nordrhein-Westfalen, Gehaltsgruppe IV. Handicapped persons with equal qualification will be preferred.
