About the job

We want to fill this temporary position for 6 months (Feb-Jul 2016) , with an energetic professional with a passion in marketing communications that can support us in securing the IKEA brand positioning and our overall vision of “creating a better everyday life for the many people”.

Who are you?
You believe that some words can speak louder than others, and that greatness lies within the details. You are anative Malay speaker to translate from English to Bahasa and have a good understanding of local culture.

You possess some translation experience, haveexcellent English and Bahasa (both written and spoken), andare skilled in working with MS Word. You are meticulous, able to focus on the tasks at hand and meet tight deadlines, highly responsible and have a positive attitude. You work well independently, as well as with a team.

How is the job?
You will be working together with the in-house translator to support English to Bahasa translation needs, including proof-reading and localising all communication for IKEA Malaysia such as product buying guides, price tags and advertisements, as well as any other ad-hoc assignments.

Ikano Retail Asia is operating IKEA stores in Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand and our regional office is based in Singapore. Ikano is founded and owned by the Kamprad family and running businesses in insurance, finance, real estate, asset management and retail.
