Who you are
As an inspirational team leader, you will manage a team and be responsible for creating an extraordinary shopping experience for our customers and driving sales and profitability results in your department.
• You have experience in leading, motivating and developing a team to reach excellent results.
• You are passionate about sales, are result-driven and have a strong customer-orientation.
• You know how to drive commercial performance in a retail setting by continuously optimizing and managing your sales space.
• You are a considerate decision-maker with strong analytical capabilities and prioritization skills.
• You speak the local language fluently and communicate well in English.
Your responsibilities
• Taking responsibility for your department’s sales goals, aligning your action plan country priorities and ensuring their implementation in your sales area.
• Steering the sales to your department’s top-selling products, prioritised products (e.g. overstock) and IKEA service products in order to maximise sales and long-term profitability.
• Making sure that your shop is in excellent condition, fully stocked w and the IKEA product range presented in ways that inspire the customers.
• Understanding and making the best commercial use of the various IKEA sales and communication channels to reach customers.
• Developing and coaching your team and its individual members.
• Managing your team and the staff plan to ensure that your sales area is sufficiently staffed to be available to serve customers and actively help them to buy.
• Promoting the IKEA social and environmental commitment and working with your team to understand how, together, you can contribute to sustainability.
What you need to know
At IKEA we pay fixed monthly salaries. That means that whether you are on holiday or take time off in lieu of overtime, your salary will be the same.
