The role of IKEA Purchasing & Logistics is to provide purchasing and logistics services to source and distribute the IKEA range at the lowest total cost, making high quality available to the customer under good social and environmental conditions. Purchasing & Logistics Area North (PLAN) is one of seven Purchasing & Logistics Areas in the world, and our co-workers are based in Älmhult, Dortmund, Kaunas, and Moscow. PLAN consists of several functions, such as Purchasing Development, Supply Chain Operations with Quality Support Centre (QSC) and Supply Chain Development.

We are now looking to recruit a Sustainability Specialist with focus on Energy to join our exciting journey!

 

Job description

As an Energy specialist you will be accountable and in lead to develop Purchasing & Logistics Area (PLA) North to secure that we reach our goal with 100% Renewable energy 2030.

You will be supporting to reach contract for green energy certificates and purchase of green energy from the energy providers.

You will act as a coach who inspire and empower the people to perform at the best of their abilities. You will with your specialist competence work closely with business team and partners from different countries. You will support local teams in project roll out and make sure that learnings and methodologies are implemented in all different projects.

You will report to Sustainability Compliance Manager in PLA North.

Your main responsibilities are:

·        To know and follow the development and changes within energy legislation

·        Supervision of business cases on construction projects for IKEA supply partners in PLA North for renewable energy projects (PV, CHP)

·        Support to secure the tenders together with Business Developer and the local Renewable Energy project team and the business team

·        Support local teams on energy data analysis from IKEA suppliers as well as mapping of local electricity markets

·        Support local teams on running energy-related workshops for IKEA suppliers

·        Develop and lead strategic projects, activities and/or work streams on Renewable Electricity for Supply Partners and secure interfaces between projects and line organisation

·        Support negotiations and coordinate actions with all stakeholders to create and secure total project delivery

·        Contribute actively to continuous development of common tools, processes, methodologies, and methods used to structure, measure, and document overall project performance

·        Support stakeholders in training and communication activities

Qualification

Your main capabilities are:

·        Deep knowledge about the European Energy market

·        Project management skills

·        Analytical skills

·        Good negotiation skills

·        Experience and track record of change management

·        To lead, mentor and/or coordinate people involved in project across all Inter IKEA Group

·        Strong in Communication

·        Fluent in German and English

You have a passion for managing projects and initiatives through people, enjoy challenging and dynamic assignments in diverse multi-cultural teams. You have a desire to develop IKEA as well as to lead, coach and implement business change. You have high energy, drive and commitment to deliver better solutions for IKEA. If you have experience from the area of sustainability and stakeholder management, it is highly appreciated.

You have strong communication skills, are fluent in both German and English, flexible and able to travel. Our ideal candidate also flourishes in an environment of change and can act with the speed required for this business.  You should have a collaborative approach, be able to work with a variety of stakeholders and be comfortable working in the unknown at times.

You have a relevant degree and with at least 3-5 years of experience in work within the energy sector with a proven track record. You lead people & business by example and bring out the best from project team and organizations you encounter. You identify strongly with our values; you act as an ambassador for them and enjoy creating an environment where the IKEA values are a living reality.
