About the job
As a Sustainability Developer, your main focus will be to support the purchasing teams and suppliers in the Nordic countries with IWAY (IKEA's supplier Code of Conduct) implementation to improve the overall Sustainability performance in relevant areas. You will also create motivation and inspire suppliers and purchasing teams to continuously identify the sustainability related business opportunities.

Your task is to support the purchasing teams in assessment of potential new suppliers that have the willingness and capability to comply with IKEA demands within given timeframe. You will also support them in carrying out the different steps of the IWAY tool kit for a sustainable supply base. Furthermore, you will support suppliers in implementing IWAY and make it and integral part of their management systems. The position is based on a lot of strategic collaboration with purchase teams, stakeholders and suppliers in Nordic countries.

This position is placed at Hubhult in Malmö, Sweden and you will report to the Regional Purchase Manager. Your matrix manager is IKEA IMS Sustainability Manager where you are part of a network with other Sustainability Developers.

About you
We are looking for you with a real passion for Sustainability related issues and a good understanding of suppliers' daily operational activities. You also have knowledge ofsupplier code of conduct (IWAY) audit methodology and techniques.

We believe you havea college degree within Business Administration, legal, environmental science or similar. You have experience of project management and it is an advantage if you have professional experience from working in a purchasing organization or within Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).

You are fluent in English, both written and spoken. You are familiar with Microsoft Office, Excel and PowerPoint in particular.

As a person you have a business mind-set with a drive to deliver results. You are open to changes and have the ability to create awareness, motivate and lead others in sustainability issues. You are a good leader with great co-operation and communication skills and you like to interact with people and build trustworthy relations.

You will work with different people in different locations and the position will require travel.
