ABOUT THE JOB
As the store visual merchandise/activity manager you share your extensive knowledge of people's life at home and high level of home furnishing competence with your team of 10 co-workers. Together you present and communicate the IKEA offer in ways that make it attractive and relevant to your local market. You also support customer self-choice in the IKEA store and the IKEA mechanical sales system. This is a challenging role in a fast-moving retail environment.

YOUR ASSIGNMENT
Your tasks will include:
· contributing to positioning the IKEA store as the first choice for home furnishing in your local market.
· providing home furnishing solutions for a single product or a combination of products to improve people's life at home.
· demonstrating the uniqueness of the IKEA product range through your visual merchandising competence and display techniques in different store media and activity areas to distance us from the competition.
· working with vitality to motivate people to visit the IKEA store more frequently.
· securing the use of the store layout as a commercial tool to plan and implement commercial strategies throughout the store while creating a good overview and strong visual impact.
· recruiting, developing and leading your team by encouraging open, constructive and honest, two-way feedback. YOUR PROFILE
Your knowledge, skills and experience include:
· A minimum of 2 years experience working as a Visual Merchandising Manager in a large retail organization
· A minimum of 2 years experience in managing and leading a team of Visual Merchandisers
· A higher education qualification in visual merchandising or industrial design and a solid background of working as a visual merchandiser.
· Passion and knowledge of home furnishing, retail and communication
· Able to act as an inspiring and motivating leader who can engage people fully to reach set goals, and generate growth and long-term profitability.
· Able to work strategically, creatively and operationally, organising, coaching and influencing others
· A desire to continually seek out new opportunities to make improvements in the way we work and encouraging your team to do the same.
· Able to challenge your team and yourself in order to strengthen the IKEA Brand and at the same time exceed the expectations of customers.
· AutoCad and freehand drawing skills
· Project management experience
· This role requires you to b e fully flexible for evening and weekend working.
