About you
You are energetic and passionate about home furnishings and “life at home”, with a focus on providing functional and relevant design solutions. You lead by example with a high level of autonomy, a genuine desire to understand your customer and to create inspiring and practical spaces showcasing the IKEA product range. You are self-driven and are comfortable working in a fast paced retail environment. You are enthusiastic about working with others in a team and are confident when dealing with key stakeholders in the business.
About the job
As an ID Coworker, you will create relevant, functional and commercial home furnishing solutions that represent IKEA as the leader in “life at home”. We are looking for a true team player, with relevant design qualifications and practical experience working in a design related environment. This role requires you to maintain a balanced view of Commercial and Creative, as well as developed partnering and relationship building with your fellow co-workers.
About the assignment
This role will require you to stay up to date with home furnishing and retailing trends, with the ability to gather information and customer insights that contribute to locally relevant, commercial home furnishing solutions that exceed customer expectation and reflect the IKEA brand. As part of the Communication and Interior Design (Com&In) team, you will be involved in the planning and implementation of range presentation solutions across the store, in line with IKEA standards.
This role will cover a 12 month maternity leave contract and is a great opportunity for your journey in Com&In to begin.
As our store operates 7 days per week, the successful applicant must have availability to work a rotating roster with a mix of day, evening and weekend shifts.
