Job Description
The Business Solution Area “Handling and Storage” team is responsible to develop and support all solutions related to operations within a logistics unit. The team will create a well anchored wanted position driven by business needs, pursue it through an initiatives portfolio, all while supporting and improving the current solutions.

By “business solution” we mean technology based tools and methods that enable our intra-logistical processes to perform. The Business Solution Area will ensure that the IKEA Handling and Storage solutions fit in the overall digital landscape in the business, in line with guiding frameworks (e.g. security, enterprise architecture, information management), and supported by solid IT operations and ways of working.

MFC (Material Flow Control) handles the physical steering of the cranes, conveyors and automated Storage solutions. MFCs are supplied in one package by the respective technique supplier. MFC includes the visualization of the material flow system. MFC has an interfaces towards Warehouse Management (e.g. ASTRO) Systems which manages all movements to and from the automated storage.

As a Solution Owner, you will create and manage budget for the assigned solution(s), provide budget inputs for the solution area, follow up & review forecasts. You would also be involved with solution inputs for solution area business continuity plan.

Your main responsibilities:
• Accountable for all aspects of solution delivery for the assigned solutions according to established ways of working (Business Development, Life Cycle Management and the Operation (run) of the Solutions, Business Continuity, Business Support).

• Manage efficient ways of working and collaboration with stakeholders. Interact with Software Suppliers (tactical & operational), Architecture and other relevant functions (e.g. Information Security, Local IT, Information Management).

• Responsible for solution compliance with rules and standards (e.g. information security), legal/regulatory requirements as well as adherence to relevant delivery process standards.

• Responsible for Release Management for the solution(s), incl. changes both functional, technical and Life Cycle Management related. Manage the Business Development activities (including Requirements, Design, Development, Test) for the solution. Secure BAT, UAT planning, preparation & execution, test case definition together with key stakeholders.

• Identify and Support User Needs

• Logistical Competence based on a university degree and a broad understanding of IKEA Retail Business and warehousing operations and IT solutions.

• Knowledge and skills in: Business Development, Requirement Management, test methods and tools connected to business acceptance and end-to-end Solution Management.

• Experiences in Release Management, Project Management, Risk Management and ability to estimate cost and complexity

• You enjoy listening, coaching and facilitating and have good interpersonal skills.

• You are fluent in written and spoken English.

• Willingness and possibility to travel
