Job Description
The team within the Business Solution Area “Handling and Storage” is responsible to develop and support all Solutions needed to operate a logistic unit.­With Solutions we mean the tools used to run and develop our business - supported by information technology.
We ensure that the IKEA Handling and Storage Solutions fit in the overall digital landscape - in line with guiding frameworks like security, enterprise architecture and information management.

We are looking for Solution Owners for the following Solutions:
Astro ­­­­­­­­­­­­­ ­­­­­­­­­­­ - Warehouse Management System
GTS ­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­ - Global Terminal System (IKEA owned ERP system)
DWP ­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­ - Dimensioning, Weight and Packaging data (IKEA owned base data system)
BI Solutions ­­­­­­­­­­­­­ - i.e Cognos and OBIEE+ based reporting and data warehousing
MFC/WCS ­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­ – Material Flow Control-, Warehouse Control Systems
Infrastructure ­­­­­­­­­ – IT related platforms and standards for Warehousing

Your main responsibilities:­
­
·  Accountable for all aspects of Solution delivery according to established ways of working
·  Drive continuous improvements of the Solution in regards to functionality, cost and quality
·  Identify and support user needs
·  Ensure that efficient business support is provided for the Solution
·  Responsible to create and maintain a Solution roadmap
·  Create and manage budget for the assigned Solution
·  Lead Solution and supplier governance forums­
·  Responsible for Solution compliance according to relevant rules and standards
·  Responsible for Release Management incl. functional, technical and life cycle management related changes
·  Manage business development activities­
Does this sound interesting? To be successful in this role you should have:

·  Solid knowledge of end-to-end Solution Management
·  Understanding of related Information Technology
·  Knowledge and skills in software development, requirement management, test methods and tools
·  Experiences in release- and project management with the ability to estimate costs and complexity
·  Experience in vendor- and contract management
·  Excellent moderation and organisational skills
·  Interest and ability to travel within Europe as well as intercontinental As a person, you have strong analytical skills - being able to structure information and derive conclusions and consequences out of them. You enjoy listening, coaching and facilitating and have good interpersonal as well as intercultural skills. You show openness, willpower, drive and are motivated by working in a fast pace environment. You are a team player with a business mind and you understand the importance of building a cross functional relationship with both internal partners and vendors. You are motivated by enabling business opportunities through IT Solutions. You naturally reflect what IKEA stands for and act according to the IKEA values in your daily work.
You are fluent in written and spoken English and basic logistical competence will help you understanding the context the Solution is used in.

Additional Information
The position is full time and is based in Dortmund, Germany. You will be employed as a Logistics Specialist with the assignment of a Solution Owner and report to the Business Solution Team Leader, Handling and Storage, within the department of Warehousing Logistics .

Position offered will be based on local terms and conditions (Tarifvertrag Groß- und Außenhandel). The salary is based on Tarifvertrag Groß- und Außenhandel Nordrhein-Westfalen. Handicapped persons with equal qualification will be preferred.
