Solution Architect, Business Solution Range and Supply – Need & Capacity, JDA, Plan and Balance Sales & Supply - IKEA of Sweden, Älmhult

As a Solution Architect you create high level design of IT solutions (solution architecture), guide the low level design and govern the implementation. You provide in-depth expertise about solutions, technology and their implementation at IKEA. Do you want to do this and focus on developing the future solutions for supply chain decisions? The core of Business Solutions Range & Supply is the Solution Areas. Plan and Balance Sales & Supply connect people and business with information technology. Our scope is all solutions related to Supply Chain Planning within Purchasing and Logistics.

In this area we have a standard platform called SCPO platform for our JDA products like DSPFulfilment, DSP Demand, Supply Chain Matrix and Enterprise Supply planning.

Our products covering the operational planning and parts of tactical planning. We give input to tactical planning for IKEA Supply Chain process. We are continuously developing our solutions to support the business needs. Here you will have the opportunity to contribute and develop within a wide range of supply chain questions and processes.

Assignment:
·  Manage and develop system strategies and roadmaps together with Solution Owner
·  Working with Life Cycle Management & release coordination
·  Responsible for leading the work to towards Operations & Shared Services and our vendor relation management concerning platforms
·  Responsible to lead the work to identify & drive system complexity reduction initiatives
·  Responsible for creation and implementation of high level solution design
·  Shape ideas – in close collaboration with relevant internal and external stakeholders – into concrete, robust and appropriate solution architectures (high level design) and transition roadmaps (for implementation) that achieve the business outcome for a fast growing business (for running business and initiatives).
·  Secure that the solution architecture reflects customer and co-worker experience, time to market, sharing and collaboration, functional, technical, infrastructure, operational, security, financial, social and environmental considerations. Actively contribute to the resolution of conflicting requirements.
·  Communicate the solution architectures and transition roadmaps to relevant business and IT stakeholders within and across organization(s), and seek understanding and agreement to ensure aligned and consistent solution implementations across the IKEA value chain.
·  Ensure that the solution architecture and roadmaps complies with relevant policies, principles, rules and standards, the agreed IT landscape architectures, its vision and goals and transition roadmaps. Suggest revisions, when compliance does not create business value.
·  Collaborate closely with business and IT stakeholders (including suppliers) to improve solution architecture with leanings from the implementation and industry practices. Support stakeholders and initiatives with solution and technical expertise.
·  Pro-actively identify and advise on opportunities to deliver better business result (e.g. related to technology changes, trends and players, roadmaps, customer value, cost, benefits, alternatives, impact, risks, dependencies, gaps).
·  Collaborate closely with IT suppliers, influence them with IKEA requirements and have a critical dialog about proposals to secure the best result for IKEA.
·  Lead solution architecture activities within the assigned area e.g. the creation, revision and implementation of standards and reference solution architectures (reusable for the enterprise), handling of deviations and exceptions, ensuring architecture requirements for life cycle management of products and services, perform design reviews, provide guidance for service improvements and service transition. The role of Business Solutions Range & Supply is to:
·  deliver competence to support and develop business solutions
·  have an end to end accountability for solutions, enhancements and projects
·  manage one agreed and steered business solutions agenda in Range & Supply With business solutions we mean the tools we use to run and develop our business supported by information technology.

Business Solutions Range & Supply consists of approximately 230 co-workers based in different legal units. We have our main hubs in Älmhult, Helsingborg and Malmö (IKEA of Sweden AB), Dortmund (Distribution Services GmbH), Pratteln (IKEA Supply AG) and Warsaw (IKEA Purchasing Services Poland).

About Solution Area PBSS
In Plan and Balance Sales and Supply we have the customer in focus. By connecting people and business with information technology we provide solutions related to Supply Chain Planning, Purchasing and Logistics like DSP fulfilment, Product Change Management (PCM), Supply Chain Matrix, etc.

We lead and develop solutions though projects, major initiatives and continuous improvements work. We are located in Älmhult and have roles like Solution Owner,
Business Analyst, Project Manager and Solution Architect.
