WHAT DO I BECOME A PART OF?

What is a “deal breaker” for you when doing online shopping? How happy are you when your return experience is seamless, reliable, and world-class? Then you understand the importance of good Customer Returns management and what it means for a Happy Customer score. This is where you can play a significant role for our many customers and co-workers around the world if you join our team.

You will be part of the CSR Customer Returns team which is responsible for the creation and management of IKEA’s global Customer and Co-worker Returns solution.

Our vision is to create an easy and streamlined self-service experience both for co-workers and customers. To achieve this vision, we set the following goals:

• Support the customer returns journey so that customers are empowered to create a Return ticket on their own, without calling the Customer Support Center.
• Support the co-worker journey so that our co-workers are empowered to manage Customer Returns in an easy and reliable way.
• Create a truly seamless omnichannel experience where many people get the best return experience, no matter where they meet us.

Functions: Create self-service Returns (Express, Parcel, Truck), Return management for co-workers (in stores and Customer Support Centers).

All in all, we work with infrastructure as code and want to automate as much as we can of the development process. If you have a keen interest in automation and like to keep making things better, you will fit right in with us. We choose technologies depending on what we need to build. We are a true DevOps team and always strive to be self-sufficient.

We will be integrating with a lot of different services at IKEA along the way which gives you tremendous opportunities to work across the organization, increase your skills and domain knowledge, and of course build your social network.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

IKEA is a company that follows and admire their values and want the individuals to follow the same. We are looking for Software Engineers (1 Backend and 1 Full stack) with experience ranging between Mid-Senior level.

You will be a problem solver with an innovative and continuous learning approach. You see an ever-changing environment as a constant flow of opportunities and learning. You see the greater joy in sharing your success but also the strength in sharing failures. We are looking for you that has a good knowledge and is hands on in some of the below technologies:

• NodeJS with JavaScript and TypeScript
• React (not needed for backend)
• Infra as Code (preferably Terraform
)
• Github Actions 

• Cloud technologies (preferably GCP)
• Docker

• Understanding of Dev-ops concepts

Nice to have:

• Go lang
• Python
• Behavioural testing (a.k.a Gherkin, a.k.a Cucumber)
