WHO WE ARE

Hi, we are the Selling subdomain of Ingka Digital (IKEA). Our subdomain focuses on systems supporting the sales order journey generated through purchases at IKEA. We’re mostly located at our offices in Malmö & Helsingborg, but collaborate with coworkers from all over the world.

IKEA is on an exciting mission to digitalize & modernize the technical landscape, creating an efficient and scalable architecture where we focus on single responsibility & separation of concern. One of the parts in this is the new Order Communication team, an initiative to create a team whose concern & responsibility is keeping the customer informed about everything that is happening behind the scenes, and making sure that the customer can communicate back with us; a central and important part of creating an enjoyable customer experience.

Expertise in cloud native and GCP, microservices, event-architecture and DevOps is highly meritable.

TECHNICAL SKILLS

Having a service oriented technical landscape lets us have a diverse tech stack among teams, however we try to not get too wild. Across the organization we have teams mainly running Kotlin, Golang, Python or JavaScript / TypeScript.

The solution is mostly event-driven, and while we build in GCP we’re keeping a cloud vendor agnostic mindset and a pragmatic and rationale based approach to the tools we choose & decisions we make together.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

- Being a member in an, initially, small team
- Collaborate with peer teams to engineer quality solutions
- Write clean, scalable and maintainable code
- Build and maintain our infrastructure & CI/CD pipeline
- Create foundations for great observability
- Finding new things to automate & improve
- Participate & contribute to the team’s agile activities
- Working from home and/or the office
