ABOUT THE JOB Cooking & Eating shopkeeper in IKEA Wembley is one of the most challenging, dynamic and rewarding positions in IKEA , are you the kind of person that can accept such a fantastic challenge? Your challenge will be to lead the Cooking & Eating team to optimise sales and profitability in the highest turnover Cooking & Eating Business in the UK, and one of the highest in the IKEA world . You will achieve this by leading and inspiring your team and combining your knowledge of the IKEA product range with your knowledge of the local market and the needs of customers.

YOUR ASSIGNMENT Your tasks will include:

·  Optimising sales and profitability by taking ownership of the range and actively promoting the IKEA commercial priorities and volume commitments.
·  Acting quickly on commercial opportunities and customer feedback, as well as keeping an active eye on competition, supply and performance analysis.
·  Knowing your range and presenting the width and depth of the IKEA range in order to satisfy and inspire visitors.
·  Ensuring that the shop is in excellent shape and fully stocked at all times so that customers can make a buying decision on their own.
·  Create an environment of trust by encouraging open, constructive, honest, two-way feedback with my team and other colleagues while providing an inspiring and motivating direction for co-workers and engaging them fully in the IKEA objectives. YOUR PROFILE Your knowledge, skills and experience include:

·  Proven track record of leading and managing a sales team.
·  Business-minded and result-driven with a customer focus.
·  Experience of working in a commercial environment.
·  Experience of working in a customer-oriented business.
·  Experience of actively selling through understanding customers and their needs.
·  Interest in people's everyday life at home and home furnishing.
·  Open to change/highly flexible. Ability to work together in a team.
·  Ability to engage a receiver by creating a passion for your plans.
·  Ability to make quick decisions and take personal initiatives.
·  Ability to communicate in English.
·  Ability to priorities and organize your own work to make efficient use of the time available.
Other Preferred Previous Experience and Person Specification:

·  Previous experience of customer-oriented services or retail.
·  Experience of working in a fast-paced environment.
·  Experience of managing and developing a team, preferably in retail environment.
·  An interest in home furnishing.
·  Sales profile personality index (PI) test
·  Clear and proven ability to meet and exceed customers' demands and thereby sell more.

Additional Information :

1 x 39 hours contract available, working 5 days a week Sunday - Saturday

Working weekends and late shifts.
