Job description

The Purchasing Specialists roles and responsibilities includes coordinating daily accounting activities, creating journal entries in the ledger, preparing tax returns, developing financial statements, reporting financial status to stakeholders, and managing accounts payable and receivable.

Key assignments :

•    To secure quality supplies of materials at the most convenient costs
•    Finding the best merchandise at the lowest possible price. 
•    To evaluate suppliers such as their price, quality, reputation, history, service support, availability and reliability etc. for a permanent supplier
•    Design all quotes for new and existing vendors and recommend improvements to delivery
•    Process purchase order requests and monitor all change orders
•    Manage purchase orders for appropriate selected sources and obtain required approvals for same
•    Monitor purchase orders and maintain regular follow up with suppliers and customers
•    Coordinate with vendors and place requests for prices and monitor bidding activities
•    Monitor inventory of products and prepare purchase plans 
•    Maintain an efficient audit computer system and ensure accuracy in all financial information
•    Oversee purchase requests and evaluate inventory, specifications and stock of all equipment’s 
•    Prepare all contract billing. 
 

Qualification

· 
2+ years of experience as a Purchasing Specialist or in a similar role.

· 
 Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a similar field preferred.

· 
CPM or APICS certification preferred.
