What you'll be doing day to day

As the Product specialist on the Fulfillment Store team, you will be a part of a product squad consisting of a product manager, engineers, product UX designer, and data analyst. You will support in building the roadmap and vision for picking inside of the IKEA stores. Using continuous discovery methods and prioritization, you will drive transformative modernization and improve the coworker experience. You will be relied on to deliver value to coworkers by bringing in innovative ideas to life around picking optimizations, collaborative automation systems, and building insights from troves of real-time data feeds.

Within the store fulfillment area, in the Digital Fulfillment Domain, you will join the group that is at the intersection of IKEA’s customers’ order journey and IKEA’s coworker experience. You will work cross functionally with many teams across the organization to build the products that enable store coworkers to pick our customers’ orders and shape one of the most vital steps in the post purchase store experience for our customers.

You will join the US Digital Hub Fulfillment Product team and report to the Director of Product Management (Product Domain Manager)

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

Provide product-related analysis, utilizing both customer and operational data as well as product information.  

Support the product owner in tactical decision-making and prioritization with analysis results and insights 

Think like a user and use that lens to identify opportunities for technical and operational improvements across the customer journey or co-worker experience in the store. 

Demonstrate entrepreneurial spirit by taking initiative, effectively prioritizing opportunities, pitching ideas, making convincing arguments, and being able to execute what needs to be done to support the mission.  

Apply strong analytical skills with the ability to structure and breakdown complex problems into manageable parts, identify required data and analyses, and develop concrete recommendations based on insights based on this. 

Be the subject matter expert on business processes, specific technologies and tools used, and the opportunities to improve customer and co-worker experience. 

Understand how stakeholders use systems and identify improvement opportunities to create a best-in-class user experience.

Qualifications

You have one (1) year or more of progressive experience in digital product development

You have experience working with a product team consisting of engineers, product UX designers, and data analysts

You have demonstrated attention to details and follow up skills

You understand the software development lifecycle and agile methodologies

You have a data driven mindset

You have a natural curiosity to dig deep into operational problems and discover a better solution

You have a relentless focus on user-centricity

You have three (3) years or more of fulfillment, eCommerce, or logistics experience

You understand basic principles of technology with experience working with Webhooks, APIs, and 3rd party vendor integrations (Nice to have)
