IKEA Purchasing Services (Czech Republic) spol. s r. o. is a purchasing organization which cooperates with furniture and home furnishing manufacturers located in Europe on producing furniture with perfect design and quality for many people, and which ensures distribution into retail stores IKEA worldwide. We are a team of about 150 co-workers of over 20 nationalities.

Job description

·  Lead and involve the right resources in Purchasing to secure the product development projects
·  Lead product development at the factory floor from a technical point of view and secure scalability for further implementation at other suppliers
·  Participate in Contract Review and lead implementation of product documentation connected to new articles as well as product improves
·  Secure that the product is at correct quality level
·  In cooperation with supplier and Product Compliance specialist, secure and verify that all IKEA requirement documents are correct
·  Contribute to the development projects from a technical perspective, with competence in construction, material, production, quality and customer expectations
·  Actively identify put forward and execute Product Improvements
·  Conduct Production Risk Assessments for new products together with production engineer
Qualification

·  Experience from production within plastic industry preferably in injection moulding and or extrusion techniques - minimum 3 years
·  Knowledge in polymers both from fossil and recycled
·  Experience and knowledge in design for manufacturing securing quality and function in mass production
·  Basic knowledge in quality system and tools
·  Capability to lead projects and secure implementation
·  Capability to build trust and relationships, for long-term business partnership
·  Very good communication skills, will and ability to work in team
·  Good communication skills in English both written and verbal
·  Very good computer software skills (MS Office applications)

More Information

·  Local contract, position placed in our Purchasing Office in Prague, Czech Rep.
·  Position requires travelling up to 30% of working time.
