Ideally you have a minimum of 3 years of Human Resources Management experience, an educational background in Human Resources, and been involved in projects and/or have worked in a global matrix organization.

ABOUT THE JOB

In the role as National (Service) Office People & Culture Manager, you are responsible forefficient, effective and consistent implementation of, and participation in, all People & Culture activities in our Canadian Service Office.  You will achieve this by being a business partner to the leaders in the office. You will also ensure that our IKEA values and culture are a living reality there as well.

You will:

·  Be a Business partner to all leaders in the Service Office. You are responsible for the implementation and consistent use of all People processes and activities for the entire office in collaboration with your Business partners.
·  Ensure that our People strategy, global principles/guidelines and relevant business plans are reflected in a local/unit People action plan that is operationally implemented and consistently lived up to.
·  Influence managers in the office to continuously develop the local leadership capabilities of their teams and to enhance the business competence within their functions according to our business needs
·  Be responsible for working with the Recruitment & Sourcing team and the Burlington store to develop and drive our local Employer Brand in the Burlington market. 
·  Be responsible for ensuring that a comprehensive and up-to-date succession plan is maintained by each function manager with a focus on High Potentials.  You will use IKEA global strategies, processes and tools to make this happen.
·  Together with the finance team deliver a local staff cost budget which emphasizes a diverse, competent and optimized staff structure which meets our goals. 
·  Be responsible for implementing and using a responsive co-worker/employee relations plan  
In this role you will report to the People & Culture Manager for our Central Market. This is a 14 month assignment beginning in May, 2019.

This role is located in the IKEA Canada Service Office in Burlington, Ontario and will require up to 30% travel: internationally and domestically.
