Who you are
You have:
• Minimum of 3 year of Human Resources experience as well as 2 year of experience in payroll related operations
• Experience in using digital tools to optimize efficiency is a plus
• Very good knowledge of administering and processing payroll information to ensure co-workers get the right net pay at the right time, including accurate tax, social security reporting and input to financial accounting
• Talent for ensuring implementation and compliance of policies, standards and manuals to follow rules
• Knowledge about benefit packages, local timekeeping processes
• Good interpersonal and relationship building skills
• Self-driven, takes action without needing direction from others
• Expresses ideas and opinions effectively in verbal and written communication
• Passion for people and providing excellent co-worker experience
• Dare to challenge old way of working and passionate about changes & process improvement
• Fluent in both spoken and written English language.
What you'll be doing day to day
About the job
In the role as Payroll Specialist, you are responsible to deliver end-to-end payroll processes to support business units and co-workers according to IKEA policies and directions, legal standards and country-specific requirements.
About the assignment
• Perform in an accurate, compliant and timely manner pre-payroll activities: checking the entries of the working time and personnel master data related to the payroll processing and off-cycle payments by the payroll calendar, global and country statutory requirements.
• Individually handle payroll related questions and enquiries, support Co-workers and P&C units’ representatives on the salary-related issues, master data, and their payroll influence.
• Prepare and check data that is a source for the tax reporting and reconciliations. Consolidate, verify and file documents requested by the state authorities and auditors
• Interact with Finance function on the tax payments and reconciliation with Tax, Social Security Offices and other authorities.
• Produce all necessary HR documentation (hiring, transferring, leaving, salaries indexation, disciplinary sanction, etc.) based on received request forms from local units according to current procedures and policies
• Responsible for an efficient people administration support (upon requests of Co-workers)
• Enter personal data of co-workers into HR databases according to individual and mass requests received from local units according to the internal procedures and policies.
• Responsible for the execution and operation of country level total rewards operations routine work.
• Monitor legal changes, interpret and participate in delivery and testing of changes in the systems, processes and new working methods related to the payroll area
• Proactively review working practices and recommend changes to secure continuous improvement in payroll ways of working
• Support P&C Delivery Manager to leverage digital solutions and tools for efficient operation.
