Who you are
• You have about 1 year’s work experience in a high-volume logistics or retail environment where you dealt with replenishment and receiving (distribution center experience is a strong asset but not necessary)
• You have proven leadership experience of at least 1 year where you directly led a team
• You are a natural leader. You are comfortable managing, coaching and developing a dynamic team, and always have succession planning in mind
• You are computer savvy and generally comfortable with technology (and can easily learn new software and systems)
• You have a solid understanding of budget, costs and KPI’s, and how to use KPI’s to plan, follow up and steer the business
• You are willing and able to work very early in the morning (before the store opens)
• You are totally cool working in a physically demanding, fast-paced, work environment

• Ensuring logistical operations are running smoothly, including inventory routines, preparation of store for daily opening, and the minimizing of wait times at merchandise pick up.

• Secure that the work of the goods flow team complies with IKEA’s Code of Conduct, internal IKEA regulations and local legislation relating to Health and Safety
• Offers input to the store’s business plan and logistics action plan

NOTE: This role is predominantly nightshift, expectation of hours is from 9.30pm to 10.30am scope of hours. Candidates must have a proven track history of Logistics management in a busy time sensitive warehouse environment with experience of managing sizeable teams.
• Full Time availability requirements: minimum 35+ hours per week
• Weekends required (Saturday & Sunday)
