What you'll need to have
• Minimum of 2 years prior building maintenance experience required.
• Must have experience with hand tools and their proper use.
• Proven electrical, mechanical, and/or plumbing skills.
• Safety minded individual.
• Ability to lift 50 to 75lbs.
• Must have a valid drivers license.
• Must have ability to obtain an IKEA forklift driver certification.
• Welding and fabrication skills a plus.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken, preferred.
• Be a dynamic, action oriented team player that is self-motivated and confident in making independent decisions.
• Good communication and customer service skills to deal with general public and truck drivers.
• A clear understanding of, and a passion for IKEA values and principles.
• Work Location: Fast paced warehouse environment.
What you'll be doing day to day
• Perform maintenance, troubleshooting and repair on all equipment.
• Perform inspection and adjustments as prescribed by the manufacturer.
• Contribute to an environment where IKEA culture is a strong and living reality that embraces the diversity of coworkers and customers.
• Assume responsibility for other tasks and projects as assigned.
