ABOUT THE JOB
We have a rare and exciting opportunity for a skilled and experienced marketer to join the IKEA Marsden Park Marketing team. The Local Marketing Specialist supports the Local Marketing Manager in effective planning, coordination and implementation of marketing initiatives within the stores primary market area (PMA) to drive repeat visitation and customer loyalty.

YOUR ASSIGNMENT
You will:
·  Support the implementation of a local activities calendar and the area market plan.
·  Support local approaches to national campaigns by working with a number of marketing channels including advertising, digital, PR, events and loyalty/direct.
·  Support the stores sustainability initiatives and development of relationships with community stakeholders.
·  Act as the local market specialist understanding the customer by utilising key data sources and communicating information throughout the organisation.
·  Prepare post campaign reports for local market campaigns, drawing conclusions and providing future recommendations.
·  Ability to work on a clear plan and show leadership skills to build strong relationships with commercial partners in the store and in the service office.
·  Manage the store internal communication channels and messaging. YOUR PROFILE
Your knowledge, skills and experience include:
·  Tertiary qualifications in Marketing.
·  A minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role.
·  Proficiency in MS Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel).
·  Proficiency with InDesign or Photo Shop.
·  Exceptional organisational skills.
·  The ability to prioritise tasks, manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
·  Proven ability to communicate clearly and appropriately, and develop good interpersonal relationships with stakeholders.
·  A sound understanding of marketing strategies with the ability to see and report on changing trends.
·  An understanding of implementing advertising and media plans in line with store objectives.
·  Experience with marketing in the retail industry or home furnishings would be highly regarded. GROWING TOGETHER
