ABOUT THE JOB
You are a strong contributor to the competence and development of managers and co-workers, influencing the unit management team to secure that this is an integral part of unit culture. You ensure that competence and development strategies are put in to practice in the most effective and efficient way in order to support the delivery of agreed business results and IKEA objectives
YOUR ASSIGNMENT
Your tasks will include:
“ Coach, mentor, expert, advisor, teacher, influencer, change manager, collaborator that's just some of the roles I have in my position. No two days are the same because no two people are the same. I work with a diverse, creative, ambitious and talented group of people, it's my job to ensure we identify this talent, and support the line mangers with how we allow this to flourish. All the while, keeping the customer experience our top priority.
There is no one size training fits all. Everyone is different, and that's what makes my role so exciting. It's solving problems, it's coming up with new solutions for competence development in a busy, thriving, high performing business. I am supporting the competence development needs of today to meet the expectations of our coworkers and customers of tomorrow
YOUR PROFILE
Your knowledge, skills and experience include:
You'll be joining a vibrant organization that is very passionate about their business and people. This also requires us to have the drive, motivation and flexibility to deliver but are appreciated and rewarded for doing so. We expect you to:-
· Have experience of drafting and implementing competence & development strategies based on a learning needs analysis
· Be a strong influencer that communicates & engages across different levels
· Be very passionate about people & their development
· Have strong commercial experience & background with clear customer focus
· Have at least 3 years' manager experience
· Work some evenings & weekends
Desirably, you:-
· Have at least Associate membership of the CIPD
· Experience of working in a retail background GROWING TOGETHER
