Junior Engineers/Trainees to join Self Service Order Management in Ingka group for Malmö location

IKEA is looking for co-workers of tomorrow! Do you want to kick-start your career and join our Program for Junior Software Engineers at IKEA Digital? We are looking for engineers within; Front-end web, Fullstack web and Back-end/API who are early in their career – either fresh graduates or those who have a few years of job experience – and are excited about new technology, making great interfaces for our users with innovative ways of working and want to be a part of shaping the future of IKEA!

What you'll be doing day to day

You will be part of a Self Service Order Management team and get trained together with experianced coworkers to quickly get up to speed, and get into your new role. You will learn how we do things here at IKEA as well as gain in-depth knowledge of the company and our digital engineering practices. The program will give you the grounding to develop in your role and future career at IKEA.

Our area is responsible for building self-service applications that our customers can access and use directly from wherever they want. You will help us build our applications allowing customers to handle their post-purchase journey like Purchase history, purchase list, assembly services and cancellation of an order.

All in all, we work with modern technologies and want to automate as much as we can of the development process. If you have a keen interest in automation and like to keep making things better you will fit right in with us. We choose technologies depending on what we need to build, even though it looks like we'll be sticking to react and Java for now. Our services and Front-end are all written in React and Java as Back-end.

We will be integrating with a lot of different services at IKEA along the way where we can encounter RPA solutions, SOAP, different kinds of authentication. Experience around these situations, and knowledge to discuss good ways on how to integrate would be valuable.
