PURPOSE OF SUPPLY CHAIN GURU PROJECT

The Project team have the task to build modeling, calculation and reporting of the Multi-Channel Distribution Network into Supply Chain Guru, and verify the outcome of the MCDN country projects by using the tool.

PURPOSE OF THE JOB :

The IT Solution Analyst is responsible to build database and models in Supply Chain Guru based on business inputs. He or she will validate and analysis data for various scenarios to facilitate project decision making. He or she will also formulate reports to visualize the project outcome. The IT Solution Analyst is a project based role and will report to the Project Leader for Supply Chain Guru. Growing into the role we also see the person to become a future super user of Supply Chain Guru and support the business project leader(s) in MCDN project(s).

ASSIGNMENTS:

· Data modeling for supply chain network solutions, based on the inputs from the business subject experts
· Good understanding of supply chain and logistics; understand logistics performance indicators (on time delivery, goods availability, cost, sustainability) that will lead to customers satisfaction and seek solutions for improvement
· Carry out project plans and participate in scenario workshop and development of modeling approaches.
· Act as Supply Chain Guru super user for internal stakeholders
· He/she will receive training from external consultant modeler in the ‘migration' phase and apply the competence in the ‘country MCDN verification' phase
· Review and validate data, build and validate models, run scenarios, and create reports together with the team for project communication.
· Identify and raise issues that impact project quality, scope, timing, or cost
· Fully document modeling approach, data source and transformations, assumptions, and constraints.

KNOWLEDGE: (I Would put some more emphasy on the data modeling so this is in centre – now it is about 50/50 for SC optimization and DB model/IT)

· Knowledge of the principles of supply chain optimization and how optimization is performed using software packages
· Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and apply complex technical skills
· Database skills strongly desired (Access or SQL Server)
· Programming skills as a plus, especially in optimization software package
· Knowledge of IKEA database and where to get what information
· University degree or equivalent experience in IT, industrial engineering, operations research, or supply chain management
