IT Architects - IKEA Product Information Management (IPIM)

We are looking for IT architects who will be part of setting up the architecture function of the IPIM programme and at the same time participating in designing our future digital ecosystem. We will be responsible for defining and enforcing architecture across the different parts of the programme and make sure that we are aligned with our line functions. The different parts of the programme is the supplier part, the creation part (development of range) and the part where our customers are meeting our range. You will be a member of the Data and Architecture team in the IPIM programme and report to the Data and Architecture Manager.

In this role you will be engaged with multiple stakeholders in order to translate the IPIM ambition, to improve our knowledge about our different stakeholders in each area individually provide them with the correct product information in real time, into a reference architecture that will be used when making decisions in the programme.
The architecture function within the Data and Architecture team is currently being established.

The assignment

·  In close collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders you will shape ideas into concrete, robust and appropriate IT landscape architectures and transition roadmaps.
·  You will secure that the architecture reflects the requirements from many different stakeholders in the organisation and you will actively contribute to the resolution of conflicting requirements.
·  You will communicate your architecture and transition roadmaps to business and IT stakeholders across organisations. You will ensure understanding and alignment across the IKEA value chain.
·  You will follow relevant policies, principles, rules and standards. If they are not contributing to business value, you will suggest revisions.
·  Pro-actively identify and advise on opportunities (such as new technology) in order to deliver better business result.
·  Influence IT suppliers with IKEA requirements.
·  Lead architecture activities within the assigned area (Supply, Create or Communication & Sale)

To be successful in this role you need to be interested in people's life at home. You also need to be able to achieve long-term sustainable business result together with realizing short term opportunities. You are the type of person that can manage to see the big picture as well as the details and you collaborate and communicate with you stakeholders to build trust and partnership in order to reach our common goals.

We are looking for someone with several years of working experience in Information Technology and with deep knowledge from one of the mentioned areas in the value chain from where you should be able to demonstrate experience from implementations of common platforms and integration of systems.

We believe that you have the ability to provide input on commercial business use cases and will develop reference architectures and standards in collaboration with the enterprise architecture community. You also need to have a strong leadership capability that includes the ability of motivating and mentoring others within the future team.
We believe that you need to have a substantial understanding of architecture frameworks, such as TOGAF.

The position will require some travelling between the two main locations of IPIM (Älmhult and Malmö), but also occasional travels abroad.
