Right now we're at the beginning of an exciting journey to revolutionise the role of Internal Communications in our organisation. During this time of change, we are looking for an experienced, motivated and creative individual who can contribute to maintaining a high level of performance within the Internal Communication function. We're looking for someone that is genuinely excited about taking the responsibility to work with the leaders in our organisation to deliver relevant and inspiring communication to our 11,500 co-workers whilst contributing to defining the future role of internal communications at IKEA.
What does the job require?
We're looking for a business partner and coach with the role of securing effective use of communication to reach business and people objectives through higher levels of co-worker engagement. You will work to define, plan, execute and follow-up communication activities with relevant internal stakeholders as an integrated part of the business. This role will help to create an open and sharing climate where our co-workers are informed, involved and engaged in the future of our business and the IKEA culture is a living reality.
Your main tasks will be:
· Support, coach and guide leaders in the business to deliver communication that informs, involves and engages co-workers. This includes supporting leaders in developing tactical communication plans and building their competence in using communication planning tools and channels.
· Day-to-day management of the internal communications matrix in the stores
· Coordination of national communication plans, including managing the internal communications calendar and working on identified national communication projects
· Lead and develop co-worker communication for our Service Office, alongside unit leaders, ensuring both the national and local communication is delivered to the 400+ co-workers based in various locations.
It is essential that you have:
· Interest in Home Furnishing and knowledge of the IKEA brand, culture and values
· Proven experience of working with internal communications, including developing tactical plans and developing messaging
· Experience working as a business partner and communication coach
· Knowledge about relevant communication tools, applications and channels
· Self-reliant and motivated with a proven ability to work successfully in a team environment, collaborating closely with peers and wider network of colleagues as well as independently
· Ability to communicate confidently and clearly, and influence in a matrix organisation
· Proven ability to build long-term relationships
