OUR MISSION

We are IKEA eCommerce in Germany! Together with you as Intern for Web Analytics we want to offer our IKEA customers a unique and seamless customer experience – online and offline. Therefore we are looking for you, being a strong enthusiast for web analytics, with a data driven mind set. At IKEA we strive to merge the online- with the brick and mortar business in order to create synergies for our customers and the business. With you as a creator for new and unconventional ideas, we want to meet all the challenges of today's multichannel business and give you the opportunity to build the foundation for your future career in the field of data analytics.

The minimum duration of the full time (163h/months, 5-days/week, 37.5h/week) internship is at least 3 months (up to 6 months) with a possible start in May 2019. The internship should be related to your current studies - e.g. as a mandatory semester internship. Ideally, you have already completed the 3rd semester onwards.

ABOUT THE JOB
·  Support the IKEA/eCommerce business with monitoring and interpretation of web performance data
·  Generate reports and visualisations in order to provide self-serve solutions to key stakeholders
·  Extract insights and create recommendations to support the development of the IKEA/eCommerce business
·  Ensure high quality of key business KPIs as well as website tracking
·  Support the design and implementation of tracking for new website features, functionalities and tools
·  Leverage web data to understand the customer behaviour on the website and use findings to improve the overall customer experience
·  Create and manage documentation related to analytics efforts   ABOUT YOU
·  You are a highly motivated student in the field of e.g. Economics, Business Administration, Information Technology, searching for valuable work experience to compliment your academic studies
·  You are interested in eCommerce business models
·  You already gained first experience with web analytics related topics, specifically with Google Analytics - first experience with Optimizely, Qlik Sense, R and SQL are a plus, not a must
·  Affinity for numbers plus an analytical mind-set are qualities that characterise you
·  You are a communicative individual, who shows strong initiative and values working within a team
·  Your flexibility and self-organisation skills enable you to tackle multiple tasks at once
·  Our team is international, therefore you need to feel comfortable doing your day-to-day tasks in English

How long do the interviews take?
The first phone screening takes round about 30 minutes. The following (personal) interview with the department can take up to 2 hours.

How many interviews are there?
The recruiting process can vary slightly per position. A typical process for intern positions consists of a first telephone or Skype interview and an interview with the manager and/or team leader. The eCommerce recruiting team will be happy to explain the whole process to you and to provide you with more details about the people you will get to know during the interviews.

Which interview questions are to be expected?
We will talk to you about your motivation, general skills and IKEA cultural fit. In addition, key topics such as possible start dates, as well as restrictions (if applicable) are discussed.
