For our Indirect Tax team we are seeking to recruit an:
Indirect Tax Specialist
The purpose of the Indirect Tax function is to support, guide and monitor the IKEA Group organization in a pro-active way on the management of Indirect Taxes (VAT, Sales Tax, GST, etc.). You will be working in an international, dynamic environment, constantly in change and development, at a high pace.
Your main assignment will be to:
· Act as the Indirect Tax expert towards the IKEA Group organizations, providing Indirect Tax requirements and support.
· Proactively support, both on a longer perspective and day to day, the IKEA Group country organizations with specialist knowledge in both Retail and non-Retail related Indirect Tax matters.
· Help with solutions for implementation in the working processes and system landscape, with the goal to reach maximum compliance and efficiency while enabling the business.
· Monitor the interpretation and implementation of Indirect Tax requirements in projects and processes related to IKEA Group stores, e-Commerce web platform, distributions centres and shopping centres.
· Take part in projects driven by Group Tax such as the development of a tax control framework and the drafting of tax rules and guidelines.
Capabilities and Skills:
You are excited by IKEA Group and home furnishing and have a genuine interest in the business of the IKEA Group.
Most probably you have 3-6 years of experience in an Indirect Tax advisory role in an international company or an international Tax advising company.
You have experience from driving and implementing tax projects in different countries preferably in Retail businesses.
You have a broad knowledge of different Indirect Tax legislations and knowledge about and Indirect Tax functionalities in financial systems. Preferably you have a university degree or an equivalent in Tax.
You are skilled in communicating in English and can easily connect to colleagues from many different cultures in an international environment.
You have a hands-on mentality and enjoy working together to share your specialist knowledge.
You will be based in Leiden, The Netherlands but a location in Malmö can also be discussed. You will report to the Indirect Tax Manager IKEA Group. The position is a full-time position that will require some travelling. The employment is a local Dutch employment.
