IKEA Management Trainee Programme in Sweden
Are you ready to take the next step in your leadership career? Do you have passion for home furnishing? Then this could be the right challenge for you! IKEA in Sweden is looking for future IKEA managers.
Our goal is to find talented, passionate and natural leaders who share our values and can lead us now and in the future. You will be offered a unique chance to experience and develop at IKEA.
During the 13 months IKEA Management Trainee Programme you will get to know IKEA through training and hands-on involvement. You will start your training in one of our IKEA stores for one month (August 2017). From September onwards you will be given your assignment at one of our IKEA companies in Sweden. Together with your Management Trainee team and within your assignment you will learn about the business and leadership at IKEA and work on your personal development. Maybe you are a future manager within technique/quality, purchasing, product development, sustainability, HR, communication or another field! Throughout the programme you will have a manager to guide you through your assignment and a mentor who will support, advice and challenge you. You will at the end of the programme have access to a professional coach.
Is this your next challenge?
To be a successful candidate you need:
· a strong interest in making a leadership career at IKEA
· to be willing to relocate within Sweden, and possibly abroad in the future
· at least 1 year of coherent working experience
· to have started your career as a leader in some way. Maybe you have already worked as a manager for a couple of years, or you have practised leadership through e.g. voluntary commitments or in student organisations.
· fluency in English We believe that you have the leadership capabilities that are necessary to lead both business and people . As a leader at IKEA you are driven, have lots of energy and the desire to constantly find new ways to develop yourself and the business. Furthermore, you find it easy to communicate and build relationships. Change is a constant part of our lifecycle at IKEA, therefore it is important that you can handle change in a good way, feel confident during change and hopefully it even tickles you. Most important of all is that your desire to succeed is greater than your fear of failure . You have a passion for life at home and share the IKEA values.
