What you'll need to have

【Required Skill or Experiences】
• 3+ years of experience in a large restaurant or retail setting including previous
• Administrative experience as a leader or manager 2+ years
• Capable of communicating in japanese and English, both in writing and verbally
*Must currently reside in Japan to be considered.

【Preferable Skills and Experiences】
• Have a passion for spreading Swedish food culture in Japan.
• Have an idea to attract new customers to IKEA stores through food and beverage.
• Experienced in managing and leading a business with more than 50 employees.
• Ability to achieve business results by involving people, including subordinates and related departments.

Not many people know this, but IKEA is actually the sixth largest food chain in the world. We serve millions of people a year with healthy snacks and meals with a unique Swedish flavor.
Recently, we have become more and more aware of environmental concerns, such as take-out lunches, meals and ingredients made with plant-based and other ingredients.

【Responsibility】
Responsible for IKEA Tsuruhama store IKEA Food (all food and beverage department) including hygiene control.
Recruitment, training and succession planning for the food and beverage department are also important tasks.
Responsible for sales promotion and operation improvement of IKEA Food to maximize sales.

This role will give you experience in the restaurant, bistro, and Swedish food market, and by offering many seasonal menus during the year, you will be able to work with more seasonal and environmental changes.
It will be responsible for the operation of the co-worker restaurant (employee cafeteria), thereby contributing to employee satisfaction.

【Working hours】
- Shifts between 8:00 and 22:00 (8 hours per shift)

【Employment Status】
- Full-time employee- 40 hours per week contract
- Indefinite employment with no contract period (probation period: 6 months after joining)
- Start date is the first day of every month (consult with us about your start date)
- Retirement age: 65 years old
