Your Mission:

o  Provide efficient check out services in Food Services to satisfy customer needs and to strengthen IKEA’s position as the best home furnishing store.

**This is a seasonal position with the potential for permanent part time **

 

Your Goals:

o   Provide friendly, helpful and efficient service to each customer and follow the 8 Steps to Good Food Service.

o   Always maintain Basic Actions at the Cash area, Condiment Table, Dining room & all other customer areas.

o   Advise Customers about the menu, food product content and the services available in the Restaurant and throughout the store.

o   Follow proper cash handling procedures as outlined in the IKEA Risk Manual.

o   Ensure your uniform is clean, neat and meets both IKEA and the Health/Safety guidelines.

o   Contribute to an environment where the IKEA Culture is a strong and living reality that embraces the diversity of coworkers and customers.

o   Assume responsibility for other tasks and projects as they occur.

You Have:

o   Proactive and courteous customer approach.

o   Good communication skills.

o   Willingness to share your knowledge and learning.

o   Mathematical skills.

o   Interest in culinary or food service industry.

o   Computer aptitude.

o   Ability to lift 50 lbs. (22.7 kg)

**Please note that you must be of legal age in order to handle cash at IKEA**

Your Workplace:

o   High volume, fast-paced food service/retail environment.

o   Continuous receptive hand motions; standing and bending for long periods.

o   Working with cleaning compounds, soaps, and chemicals.

o   Hours of work include Weekdays, Evenings, Saturday, Sunday, and Statutory holidays; full evening and weekend availability is a must.
