ABOUT THE JOB

We are currently seeking IKEA Food Co-Workers to join our new North Lakes store. As an IKEA Food Co-Worker you will strive to offer irresistible food in a welcoming atmosphere, a place to rest and re-charge. We are currently recruiting for all areas of IKEA Food, including Kitchen Production (food preparation), Goods Receiving (forklift licence required), Swedish Food Market and Bistro, Customer Restaurant, Co-Worker Restaurant and IKEA Café.

Your tasks will include:
·  Ensuring our customers are always in focus by providing an exceptional food experience at IKEA.
·  Ensuring that your area of responsibility is clean, tidy, ready and inviting at all times.
·  Sharing your passion for food and your product knowledge with customers and fellow co-workers.
·  Understanding the commercial impact of decisions made in your area and know what results you can influence. Your knowledge, skills and experience include:
·  A true passion for food, its vibrancy and presentation.
·  A demonstrated commitment to food safety and quality.
·  Previous hospitality experience working in a fast paced environment.
·  Barista experience if applying for a role at IKEA Café.
·  Good attention to detail and the ability to prioritise and organise individual work duties in order to make the most efficient use of the time available.
·  Enthusiasm for working in a large team and the ability to take responsibility for your own work.
·  An interest in home furnishings and peoples' everyday life at home. All of our co-workers have a rotating roster which means regular weekends and some late nights
