About the job

We are continuously growing and are looking many new co-workers to join our Restaurant function. There are altogether almost 100 smiling co-workers at Vantaa's restaurant. We work hard but not seriously. We laugh a lot and we work closely together as a great team. We believe that work is and should be fun! If you value a good team spirit and a sense of feeling together - you are the person we are looking for.

The IKEA restaurant consists of three departments: Restaurant, Bistro and Swedish Food Market. Our restaurant offers our guests a moment to take small break while shopping. At a restaurant, the working day may consist of cashier's or counter-office work and other general restaurant tasks. After the checkout line, our customers have the opportunity to have a smaller snack in our Bistro. Next to Bistro there is also the Swedish Food Market, where you can buy tasty Swedish delicacies to take home. In Bistro, the tasks include manufacturing and serving the products to the customers, as well as maintaining general cleanliness. The Swedish Food Market ensures that the products are attractively presented and available. Your day can also be at the checkout to ensure a smooth and cheerful customer experience.
As IKEA Food co-worker you are in the key position to face our customers and, for your part, are happy to delight our customers with your cheerful and positive attitude. Your goal is to serve the customers so well that they want to come back to us again and again. The customer is at the core of everything we do, so you are customer-service-oriented and positive - your attitude stays in the hurry! You enjoy working in a challenging retail environment.

Your job and our expectations for you

·  You are genuinely interested in the restaurant- and trade sector and want to develop together with IKEA in the future. If you are eager to grow with us, we will educate and develop you even for demanding tasks.
·  Sell more sofas with meatballs :) You are sales-inspired and enthusiastic about our great food products.
·  You have experience in customer service and ensure that every customer is taken into account. Your cheerful customer service will give our customers a great reason to return to our guests all the time again and again.
·  You have sense in fast-changing situations.
·  You want to learn about our product's range of nutrients and origin and share this knowledge with our customers and your colleagues.
·  You have a hygiene pass. Previous work experience in the restaurant sector is considered to be an advantage.
·  You don´t need to be fluent in Finnish, but we require you can serve our customers with basic things. You can also speak good English. We offer you
