To work as a member of the HR team to provide an accurate and efficient administrative support to the HR department. Together with the HR team you will support the delivery of the HR Action Plan, HR idea and the IKEA business objectives by working in partnership with all business functions and co-workers in the Distribution Centre. The main task is to provide administrative support within HR related questions, queries and tasks raised by co-workers, leaders and the wider HR team according to routines and processes, to Managers and HR.
Your tasks will include:
· Deal effectively with all initial enquiries to the Human Resources function, and escalate where appropriate.
· Responsible for ensuring all HR administrative systems are accurate, efficient and compliant with UK audit procedures and the Data Protection Act and all filing systems are up to date and accurate.
· Work with the recruiting leaders to ensure that all candidates that have applied through the recruitment system receive a timely response ensuring that every applicant to IKEA receives the right communication at the right time.
· Work with leaders to ensure all HR Administration is completed in a timely manner, including new starters, leavers, pay queries, personal and job changes thus ensuring legal compliance and minimum disruption to Co-worker pay.
· Be responsible for ensuring that all administration tasks connected to employment law are completed in a timely and accurate manner; in particular disciplinary, grievance and appeal paperwork
· Be responsible with the support from HR Generalist that we are at all times compliant with our responsibilities under UK immigration law.
· Together with the unit HR team contribute to the development of the annual HR action plan aligned to the unit business objectives
· Be the key administrator in the unit for IKEA family friendly policies (maternity, paternity etc) coach and support the leaders to ensure a consistent and fair approach. Guide and advise leaders of the process, their responsibilities and the procedure to follow under IKEA policy to enable them to support their co-workers
· Be the superuser for all HR Systems.

Your knowledge, skills and experience include:

· Relevant HR tools and working methods e.g Recruitment and Disciplinary.
· Co-worker relations and employment legislation.
· Microsoft Office packages including word and excel.
· HR Systems
· HR policies & procedures-Ico-worker/Benefits
· Being passionate about people and leading business through people
· Well structured, organised and accurate
· Have a service minded approach with good relationship and communication skills
· A strong self drive and ability to take initiative, analyze and solve problems
· A proactive mindset
· Ability to work efficiently
· Experience in Administration.

· Demonstrate a high degree of confidentiality.
· Experience of working in the HR administration field

Additional Information :
1x 40hr contract available working any 5 from 7 days but predominantly 8am-4pm Mon-Fri
