About the job

Your Mission:

·  Provide a positive customer service experience in the Furniture Pick-Up & Delivery area to strengthen IKEA's position as the best home furnishing store. Your Goals:

·  Ensure a positive shopping experience by greeting customers, being visible and available at all times and managing first contact resolution.
·  Work with the Full Serve Warehouse team to ensure orders are available for pick up by customer upon arrival.
·  Retrieve, confirm and verify customer orders as per IKEA policy and offer to arrange loading assistance as required.
·  Maintain Basic Actions in the Pickup area focusing on clean and organized and always operating at IKEA Commercial Review standards.
·  Identify customer delivery and assembly needs prior to processing orders & minimize wait times by accurately entering complete orders.
·  Clearly label all products as per order details and place all delivery goods in the designated area always operating your area at IKEA Commercial Review standards.
·  Prepare deliveries for pickup as per agreements, ensuring order accuracy and that products & packages leave the building in good shape.
·  Thank the customer, offer a friendly closing and invite them back.
·  Contribute to an environment where the IKEA Culture is a strong and living reality that embraces the diversity of coworkers and customers.
·  Assume responsibility for other tasks and projects as they occur. You Have:

·  Proactive and courteous customer approach
·  Leadership and communication skills.
·  1 year IKEA experience including internal training programs or 1-2 years retail supervisory experience. Multi-tasking capabilities.

·  Good communication skills
·  Willingness to share your knowledge and learning
·  Problem-solving skills
·  Computer aptitude
·  Interest in home furnishings
·  Ability to lift 50 lbs. (22.7 kg) on a regular basis and operate a pallet jack
·  Willingness to cross train and work in Returns & Exchanges Your Workplace:

·  High volume, fast-paced retail environment.
·  Hours of work include Weekdays, Evenings, Saturday, Sunday, and Statutory holidays; full evening and weekend availability is a must.
