About the job

Your Mission:
o  Provide a positive customer service experience in the Furniture Pick-Up & Delivery area to strengthen IKEA’s position as the best home furnishing store.

Your Goals:
o  Ensure a positive shopping experience by greeting customers, being visible and available at all times and managing first contact resolution.
o  Work with the Warehouse team to ensure orders are available for pick up by customer upon arrival.
o  Retrieve, confirm and verify customer orders as per IKEA policy and offer to arrange loading assistance as required.
o  Perform department specific routines to ensure that your work area is clean and organized and always operating at IKEA Commercial Review standards.
o  Identify customer delivery and assembly needs prior to processing orders & minimize wait times by accurately entering complete orders.
o  Clearly label all products as per order details and place all delivery goods in the designated area always operating your area at IKEA Commercial Review standards.
o  Prepare deliveries for pickup as per agreements, ensuring order accuracy and that products & packages leave the building in good shape.
o  Thank the customer, offer a friendly closing and invite them back.
o  Contribute to an environment where the IKEA Culture is a strong and living reality that embraces the diversity of coworkers and customers.
o  Assume responsibility for other tasks and projects as they occur.

You Have:
o  Proactive and courteous customer approach
o  Good communication skills
o  Willingness to share your knowledge and learning
o  Problem-solving skills
o  Computer aptitude
o  Interest in home furnishings
o  Ability to lift 100 lbs. (45.5 kg) on a regular basis and operate a pallet jack
o  Willingness to cross train and work in Returns & Exchanges
