ABOUT THE ONLINE TEAM
The Online Team is responsible for the digital experience in the UK and Ireland, including the eCommerce sales of IKEA in the UK.

Our purpose is to ensure an enjoyable, convenient and successful shopping experience, which leads to increased sales and sustained long-term profitability.

ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Digital Merchandiser you will support and achieve maximum sales growth and profitability in your assigned categories. You will contribute actively in converting more consumers to customers, and encourage existing customers to shop more frequently with us.

Your tasks will include, but not be limited to:

·  Proactively merchandising the website. Reviewing sales performances and reacting accordingly. All whilst considering every aspect of a customer's multichannel journey.
·  Developing an excellent knowledge of the range and employing sales-steering techniques (such as cross-selling, up-selling and sequencing) to help to attract, engage and convert IKEA's customers across all touchpoints.
·  Coordinating the creation and delivery of all reporting, to provide insight and analysis.
·  Contributing to the global IKEA priorities & the country strategy. Working cross-functionally with coworkers to achieve and exceed business goals.
·  Demonstrating curiosity about the home furnishing market (e.g. Competitors & trends) along with a genuine passion for improving every part of our customer's life at home.
Your profile:
You enjoy working in a fast-paced environment to tight deadlines, whilst learning new skills and finding more effective ways of working. A team player with a can-do attitude, you are curious and passionate about home furnishings.

Your skills:

·  Knowledge of eCommerce and digital merchandising methods.
·  Working and collaborating effectively, communicating and sharing ideas within the Online Team and the wider Global Structure.
·  Computer skills and high proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (particularly Excel).
·  The ability to use statistical analysis to follow up on sales.
·  Experience of making decisions based on market knowledge.

Additional Information :

For this role you need retail experience.
Yearly salary will be between £22.000-£29.000, depending on experience.

This role is based in London or Peterborough.
