The Design Manager for Penang will be reports to the Development Project Manager in the project and is the design interface between external design consultants and internal Ikano design resources in Singapore.

Your assignment

·  You are required to manage the design in our Penang project in Malaysia, which is a large scale Ikano project compromising of an IKEA store, Shopping Centre and potential Mixed use components.
·  You are responsible to lead and manage the design process in the Penang project from the PLAN stage to 3 months after practical completion.
·  You are natural speaking partner towards architects, Project Management DM and planning specialists and ensure the project design goals are met.
·  You are responsible to secure development, implementation and documentation of the design from test-fits and master planning to design development of IKEA Stores, Shopping Centres and Mixed Use while achieving synergies and targeted ROWC/Yield.

Your profile

We are looking for a results-driven, a dynamic team player & able to work with minimum supervision.

·  Majority of the time will be based on site and the job is based in Penang.
·  You are a qualified Architect with Minimum 7 years of Architectural background with Minimum 3 years of shopping Centre and retail design experience and minimum 3 years of experience of the detailed design, tender design and construction design phases.
·  Highly independent with the ability to multi-task and able to work under pressure
·  High proficiency in AutoCAD or ArchiCAD required supplemented with other programs such as Revit, Rhino3D, 3dsMax, Photoshop etc
