PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The purpose of the People and Culture function is to secure the competence and organisation to reach our business ambitions.

Reporting to the Country People & Culture Manager you will be responsible for leading all aspects of INGKA People & Culture practices, policies, processes, regulations and legislations linked to all co-workers in the country. Acting as a Business partner to Country Management providing strategic advisory and translating business needs into People requirements. You will also assist in leading the Country People & Culture management team providing support and guidance to People & Culture functions.
YOUR ASSIGNMENT
· Leads and develops a strategically focused management team, each with mandate to drive respective function independently in order to deliver a high standard of excellence
· Drive and secure consistent co-worker experience across all legal entities in country
· Drive standardisation in People & Culture organisation in order to enable transformation toward digitalisation, challenging existing processes and championing continuous improvement
· Secure efficient implementation of overall People processes, policies and yearly activities in the country
· Secure and follow up that the country is working in line with the mandatory elements of People & Culture strategy to secure compliance and a consistent execution of the framework and policies.
· Lead the succession planning process for the country
· Secure an efficient business & people budget planning process
· Lead IKEA’s role as an important employer in the market, being an external speaking partner and identifying opportunities it makes a difference
· Secure developing and/or strengthening the IKEA Employer Brand
YOU ARE THE PERFECT CANDIDATE IF YOU
· Have considerable experience working as a leader on the people agenda within IKEA
· Demonstrate general leadership ability and effectiveness in leading multiple functions with the capacity to handle multiple priorities, initiatives, interfaces and tasks
· Apply business knowledge and leverage digital best practices to achieve organizational goals and objectives
· Champion new methods, digital systems and processes to improve performance
· Develop virtual and other collaborative relationships to facilitate current and future objectives
· Takes action without needing direction from others – ability to work independently, take own initiatives and responsibility but also a team-player
· Express ideas and opinions effectively - with ability to influence and inspire
· inspire people with your personality and competence to be followed by other leaders and co-workers to see the future possibilities
· bring experience of creating and implementing long-term strategic plans, setting budgets and following up goals
· want to become Country People & Culture Manager in the next 3-5 years in the IKEA world
· have a good knowledge of the German and English language.
