IKEA Transport is approximately 400 persons globally with purchase volume of 1.3 billion Euros, working in the category dimension of Land and Ocean. The Category Land is responsible to design, develop, plan, purchase, operate and follow up transport solutions from IKEA suppliers and service providers to IKEA Distribution Centres and Stores; securing the needed transport capacity at the right time, with the right quality, at the right cost and in a sustainable way; to continuously contribute to the goal of having 100% satisfied IKEA customers.

About the job
As Communications Intern you support the IKEA Transport Organization with compelling and effective internal and external communication activities to engage our key stakeholders. It's your task to optimize and ensure targeted and professional communication towards our co-workers as well as building commitment and loyalty towards the IKEA brand. In your daily work, you actively contribute to enhancing the internal and external Transport communications landscape. You play a key role in developing, creating and launching a new external communications channel.
As Communications Intern you are a partner in creating external communications content and in further strengthening the continuous dialogue with our Transport Service Providers. You support an open and sharing environment in which our co-workers are well-informed and the IKEA culture is a living reality.

About you
To be successful in this role you need to be a compelling communicator and have a strong interest in the Transport/Logistics Business. You have excellent English language skills, both written and verbal. Over the years you have gained strong experience in visual communication and you are familiar with web-based solutions, such as Internet sites based on SharePoint. You are self-motivated, driven and you have an attention to detail as well as a problem-solving attitude. As a person you like working in a fast-paced environment and you can handle many diverse tasks simultaneously. You are flexible, supportive and open-minded and you enjoy working in a team. Ideally, you are a master's student in communications and already gained professional experience from former communications internships within a global company. The location of this assignment is IKEA Supply AG, Pratteln (Basel) Switzerland. The internship is for a 6 month period.
