ABOUT THE JOB
As the Communication and Interior Design Manager you are responsible for leading and inspiring the Interior Design, Visual Merchandising and Graphic Communication teams to work together with their commercial partners to deliver business excellence. You do this by securing business competence, ensuring that the Comm&In team use knowledge of IKEA home furnishing and people's life at home to translate this into solutions on the shop floor.
You will be the creative leader, initiating and facilitating workshops to generate creative direction. It will be your responsibility to stimulate and increase interest in home furnishing for all co-workers in the store.
You will be an active creator in the store business plan, contributing with knowledge of life at home and consumer shopping behaviour. It will be your pleasure to identify, recruit and develop the many talents in the store & specifically the Communication and Interior design department to secure the business and plan for succession. YOUR PROFILE
It is essential for the role that you have:
· Proven record of being able to communicate confidently and clearly in English
· 3 years' manager experience
· Extensive experience working in a design orientated role.
· Possess a design based education.
· Experience in managing, inspiring, leading and developing people and creative processes in a changing environment.
· Experience in visually expressing the brand identity of a company.
· Visual competence, keen eye for aesthetics.
· Experience of influencing in a matrix organization
· Ability to demonstrate how you confidently manage, lead & develop others
· Business minded with a clear customer focus
· Ability to think commercially by balancing efficiency, inspiration & profitability
· Experience of implementing action plans & providing clear direction & follow up GROWING TOGETHER

Additional Information :
Salary band from £34,000 - £37,000
Outstanding benefits package
Flexibility is required to work 5 days out of 7, including late nights and weekends.
Travel required on a monthly basis
