ABOUT THE JOB
·  Provide a positive customer service experience in the Furniture Pick-Up area to strengthen IKEA's position as the best home furnishing store
YOUR ASSIGNMENT
Your tasks will include:
·  Check and verify customer orders to ensure the contents of the order are accurate
·  Work with Logistics co-workers to ensure that customer orders are complete
·  Obtain proper signatures as required
·  Use available resources to educate yourself on product features, services and customer interaction skills
·  Contribute to an environment where the IKEA Culture is a strong and living reality that embraces the diversity of coworkers and customers
·  Assume responsibility for other tasks and projects as they occur
·  Ensure a positive shopping experience by greeting visitors, being visible and available at all times and managing first contact resolution.
·  Provide customers with accurate product information by determining their needs, offering solutions, alternatives and add on sales that meet these needs and contribute to your department's sales goals.
·  Maintain BASIC ACTIONS in your department, focusing on mechanical sales and "In Shape as New", always operating at IKEA Commercial Review standards
·  Update yourself on the stock supply situation in your department at the start of each shift and sales steer to what is available today
YOUR PROFILE
Your knowledge, skills and experience include:
·  Proactive and courteous customer approach
·  Good communication skills
·  Willingness to share your knowledge and learning
·  Problem-solving skills
·  Computer aptitude
·  Interest in home furnishings
·  Ability to lift 100 lbs. (50 kg) on a regular basis and operate a pallet jack
