ABOUT THE JOB To strengthen IKEA as the employer of choice, the IKEA Shared Service Center (SSC) HR Support Specialist provides a quality service (i.e., accurate and timely answers) to all IKEA co-workers who contact the SSC with Benefits, Payroll, and general HR questions.

YOUR ASSIGNMENT Your main tasks will include:
· Provide co-workers with information and /or resolutions regarding HR Policies and Procedures, including HR Systems, Benefits, Compensation and Recruitment
· Maintain incoming call, email and mail volume from co-workers and respond in a timely and professional manner adhering to all IKEA SSC policies and procedures.
· Responsible for continuous learning to ensure SME level responses and administration of IKEA Policies and Procedures, Benefits, Relocation (Domestic and International), Payroll, Compensation, and Recruitment.
· Consult with co-workers and provide, training, accurate responses and support in problem resolution for IKEA co-workers regarding IKEA Policies and Procedures, Benefits, Relocation (Domestic and International), Payroll, Compensation, and Recruitment.
· Consult with and provide support to the SSC teams (Benefits, Relocation, Payroll, Compensation, and Recruitment) Conduct research and provide sound judgment and/or resolutions on co-worker issues by collecting pertinent information, developing and managing case volume, spreadsheets, procedures/processes and providing an acceptable solution that either meets or exceeds the service goals of the SSC.
· Provide customers with a forum to express concerns and react in a professional and empathic manner Use available resources to educate yourself on products, services, and customer interaction techniques
· Contribute to an environment where the IKEA Culture is a strong and living reality that embraces the diversity of coworkers and customers. Assume responsibility for other tasks and projects as assigned. YOUR PROFILE Your knowledge, skills and experience include:

· 3 – 5 years experience in a shared services/call center environment for a large national company.
· 1 – 3 years experience with SAP, HRMS, PeopleSoft HRMS or other related HRMS software.
· 1 – 3 of experience in Human Resources experience, including concepts and administration of Payroll, Benefits, Compensation, and/or Recruitment. Basic understanding of Federal, State, and Local legislative employment and health care laws and regulations
· Demonstrated Strong Customer Service experience
· Strong oral and written communication skills
· Demonstrated proficiency with the use of a computer and software applications including Microsoft Office.
· Associates Degree or four year college degree from an accredited university in Human Resources, or other related fields preferred.

· Strong decision-making skills with the ability to influence and act based on fast-paced and perpetually changing environment.
· Ability to contribute as a dynamic, action-oriented team leader that is self-motivated and confident in making decisions utilizing independent judgment.
· Ability to communicate and partner with co-workers across all levels of the organization.
· Ability to maintain confidentiality.
· Ability to utilize existing resources and locate new resources to assist in resolving complex situations. Additional Information :

This position is located at the IKEA US Shared Service Center in Baltimore, Maryland.

Applicants must have availability of 11:30am - 8:00pm Monday-Friday, and 9:00am - 6:30pm Saturday and Sunday.
