ABOUT THE JOB
As a Recovery/Gatekeeper co-worker you contribute to the growth and long term profitability of the IKEA store through systems and methods for lowering costs, increasing the quality perception, handling quality matters and maximizing profit. You achieve this using your knowledge of working the IKEA way, and the experience and expertise of your colleagues.
*** PLEASE NOTE THIS POSITION STARTS AS EARLY AS 3 AM**
YOUR ASSIGNMENT Your tasks will include:
· Handling goods, unloading and transferring items to ensure damaged items are not sent to the sales floor, using the correct equipment in a safe and efficient way to minimise damage to stock and equipment.
· Foster strong relationship with Inventory Specialist and Goods Flow Team
· Strong focus on processes that impact stock accuracy:
· gatekeeper process
· Casy registration and follow up
· Identify incorrect IPI's
· Investigate and resolve unconfirmed delivery lines
· Reporting all damages received into the store through the CASY system, documenting all aspects of trailer unloading
· Proactive cooperation and contribution with colleagues inside and outside the department with the aim to minimise all internal damages or other costs related to IKEA product
· Take necessary action on products to give them a second chance, such as repacking
· Support the quality work in the store in order to constantly improve customers' quality perception of IKEA products
· Strong focus on CASY and gatekeeping process
· Working proactively to maintain the safety and security of your areas of responsibility for customers and colleagues.
· Implementing agreed processes, working methods and procedures, including IT systems and techniques.
YOUR PROFILE Your knowledge, skills and experience include:
· You are enthusiastic about work and working with others in a team.
· You are knowledgeable about the Supply Chain Program
· You are able to prioritise and organise your own work to make efficient use of time.
· You utilize a Change management approach to influence working methods to support Stock Accuracy
· You have good personal discipline, a flexible approach to work and enjoy change.
· You are self-motivated and like to take initiative.
· Ability to lift 50 lbs. (22.7kg)
· You are able to work during the early hours of the day.
· Flexible to work overnights and/or days shifts as required
YOUR WORKPLACE
· High volume, fast paced retail environment
· Hours of work include early mornings, weekdays, Saturday and Sundays, and statutory holidays; must have early morning availability
