About the job
The key requirements of your role are to:
· Participate actively in the MCDN projects in the DS UK and IE.
· Participate in all project phases: business case planning and calculation, tendering, implementing new units and hand over to the line organisation.
· Coordinate the Investment Request process including ROI calculation to establish new Units, communicate and explain budgets.
· Secure the payback calculation and prepare the functional reporting according to common rules and deadlines.
· Initiate and/or support benchmark activities towards other comparable units.
· Provide the MCDN and Distribution Operations Manager with reliable navigation information.
· Work in close co-operation with the project teams, the respective Retail organisations and with the related DCG in DS.
· Create Baseline calculations and future MCDN design scenarios together with Retail BN, Transport BN, SBF and Unit BN.
· Facilitate the decision taking process by providing DS responsible with tools, analysis and/or evaluations of business potentials.
· Contribute to the development of DS with participation in competence networks.
· Support Tender processes with business navigation competence.
Is this the challenge for you?
We are looking for someone with a university degree in economics or logistics or with equivalent working experience, preferably from logistics or retail. You will need excellent computer skills and a detailed working knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Fluency in both written and spoken English is required. You should be highly analytical and able to work both independently and as part of a team. To be a successful Business Navigator, you will need to be able to present and communicate clearly and persuasively, and have a constant desire to develop and improve the business. At times, you may need to challenge our leaders with your suggestions. Prior Business Navigation experience and/or some experience within a leadership team would be a significant advantage.
