It's all about growth and change. Our Business Navigation team would like to grow and support the UK Distribution Service Provider into an exciting and challenging future. With new locations and logistical set-ups on the horizon, this role requires both structured and agile thinking.
As a Business Navigator, you will contribute to the development of the organisation by analysing information and reporting data, to steer the business towards cost and performance improvements.

The key requirements of your role are to:

·  Participate actively in the creation and implementation of action plans for a logistics unit during the BPL process
·  Coordinate the Goal processes for the unit, establishing of budgets, communicate and explain goals
·  Secure the unit's functional reporting according to common rules and deadlines
·  Highlight discrepancies between goals and actual results in the units and identify corrective actions
·  Initiate and/or support benchmark activities towards other comparable units
·  Provide the Unit Managers and the local management teams with reliable navigation information
·  Secure and develop a high consciousness of cost within the unit, initiate cost saving activities
·  Secure the performance measurement and support to improve performance of the major KPIs by being close to operations such as organising workshops for business improvement, benchmark activities.
·  Facilitate the decision making process by providing the Unit Managers and the local management teams with tools, analysis and/or evaluations of business potentials
·  Contribute to the development of DS with participation in Competence networks
Is this the challenge for you?
We are looking for someone with a university degree in economics or logistics or with equivalent working experience, preferably from logistics or retail. You will need excellent computer skills and a detailed working knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Fluency in both written and spoken English is required.

You should be highly analytical and able to work both independently and as part of a team. To be a successful Business Navigator, you will need to be able to present and communicate clearly and persuasively, and have a constant desire to develop and improve the business. At times, you may need to challenge our leaders with your suggestions. Prior Business Navigation experience and/or some experience within a leadership team would be a significant advantage.

Additional Information :

This a permanent full time role within the busy Customer Distribution Centre in Peterborough reporting into the Business Navigation Team Leader.

Within this role, the successful candidate will work a 40 hour week, any 5 from 7 days which will predominantly Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm. However, full flexibility will be required
