What you'll need to have

【Required Skill or Experiences】
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a managerial position as a leader or manager.
• High level of analytical skills in various aspects of business and sales.
• Experience in managing people, goods, and money for a company or store operation.
• Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing in both Japanese and English.
*Must currently reside in Japan to be considered.

【Preferable Skills and Experiences】
• Strong desire to grow IKEA business.
• Highly motivated to connect business growth through people growth.
• Experience as a project manager.
• Experienced communicator with the ability to influence stakeholders.
• Knowledgeable about the local market and how to access information on trends and turn that information into business opportunities.

Your responsibilities

【Responsible】
IKEA Tsuruhama Business Navigation & Operations (management accounting, operations, etc.) Also responsible for store safety management.

【Rewarding】
• This position is responsible for steering the store towards growth, optimal performance and sustained long-term profitability by supporting store operations in all aspects including finance and operations, working with relevant departments in line with IKEA's goals.
• You will be an active business partner with headquarters and other departments in strategic and operational development, working closely with IKEA's business to help improve store sales and customer experience.

【Business strategy and planning】
• You will lead the store business planning process with the store manager and management team, proactively using local market data to understand and provide relevant information about people's lives at home and the customer experience at our various points of contact.
• Drive and coordinate the Financial Business Plan process to ensure alignment of financial aspects with store issues and priorities, and engage stakeholders when setting goals and creating commitment.
• Fully understands the P&L of the store and takes actions that will impact the P&L.
Follow up on the results, develop forecasts and, if necessary, scenario plans.
• Identify opportunities and follow up on benchmark KPIs.
• Provide relevant and easy-to-use business information, promote standardized reporting, and ensure capacity within the organization to analyze and understand performance and make the best business decisions.
• Secure that all investments are made with appropriate analysis or business ROI considering all aspects of various projects.

【Team building and leadership】
• Mentor and develop Business Navigation & Operations team leaders and teams, identifying and developing talent and succession planning.

- Shifts between 8:00 and 22:00 (8 hours per shift)

【Employment Status】
- Full-time employee- 40 hours per week contract
- Indefinite employment with no contract period (probation period: 6 months after joining)
- Start date is the first day of every month (consult with us about your start date)
- Retirement age: 65 years old
