Customer Fulfilment (CFF) plays a fundamental role within Retail in achieving the IKEA goal of becoming an omnichannel retailer. And there is no omnichannel retail without a logistics network that can support our growth ambitions.
The Fulfilment Development & Multichannel Network function within CFF is taking the lead for the design, establishment, and development of the fulfilment network. As a project manager for one of our establishment or redesign projects you would be in the forefront of leading the change in IKEA’s logistics setup.

For this role you have a proven performance in project management with a strong track record and reputation as a team player. You have experience in working with large, complex assignments that are reporting to higher levels of management. You have a proven ability to influence in an interdependent / indirect leadership environment. Excellent communication and presentation skills, facilitation skills, conflict management and problem-solving experience are preferred.
You have knowledge in following areas:
• Project management including various methods and tools.
• Change management and leading in the unknown
• Knowledge of different leadership styles and needs as well as appropriate use for different situations.
• Stakeholder management: knowledge of how to identify and involve relevant stakeholders in a project, process or question to make things happen.
• Financial competence: knowledge about how internal and external financials impact the business of IKEA and an understanding of how to communicate this financial impact to different target groups.
• Good knowledge of relevant IT systems, solutions, tools, calculation methods.
• Experience in logistics or logistics projects is preferred
Together as a team
The purpose of the role is manage the assigned project(s) and to lead the connected project team. The project team does not directly report to the project manager, but to their line managers.
You will be responsible for:
• Managing the project within set frames and scope, time and budget agreed with the Project Steering Group.
• Planning and structuring the project according to the IKEA project methodology (PPS).
• Establishing and leading the project group(s) and organisation structures needed for cooperation, communication, and delivery of the project.
• Investments and costs as defined in the project budget, manage the procurement and financing of all installations, indirect materials, services and disposition of resources and have a risk- based approach in the daily work.
• Acting as an ambassador of the specific project and secure appropriate communication to and involvement of the different internal stakeholders and receivers.
• Reporting the project status to the specific project Steering Group on regular base in a relevant and transparent way, including any significant risks /deviations on time, cost or quality or other deviations to the intended project result.
• Assuring that the receiving organisations are prepared through organizational change management including securing sponsorship and building the relevant and needed relations. Work as a business partner.
• Identifying, monitoring and controlling risks within the project scope, manage dependencies and interfaces within the project and between the project and the line organisations.
• Secure on regular base and after project-completion the project evaluation, aiming to secure that all necessary data & information of the project is documented, evaluated and archived and be responsible securing a proper handover to the line organisation(s).
• Lead, coach and develop the project organisation and secure an inspiring and motivating environment where people and talent are continuously developed including long term competence building and succession planning, diversity, and inclusion.
This job is located in our Head Office of IKEA Germany in Hofheim-Wallau between Wiesbaden and Frankfurt am Main. This role requires travelling.
