We are looking to welcome Kitchen Design Specialist to our Kitchen Sales Team.

This is a very exciting time to join our Kitchens Team as it is in focus and we are currently exploring new ways in which to reach and meet IKEA customers with our Kitchens offer. This means that this role comes with the unique opportunity to work not only in the IKEA Manchester Store but also in our new smaller Planning & Order Points currently in Stockport with other locations to be confirmed.

Expected Starting Date: October 2023

WHAT WE OFFER

Full Time - 39 hours per week working 5 days over 7 including alternate weekends and late evenings.

This role offers a salary ranging of £23,500 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience.

We are open to working flexibly with availability to support a work life balance this can be discussed further at interview.

We operate 7 days a week to meet the shopping needs of our customers, this role will require availability to work during the day, late evenings, and full weekends.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE

Experience of planning and selling Kitchens, including custom made worktops is preferred but not essential. We are looking for someone who is driven to achieve sales targets and KPI's, experience doing so would be beneficial.

We are looking for people who are passionate about putting the customer at the heart of everything we do and helping them create their dream kitchen based on their needs and in a budget that suits them. The ideal candidate will be sales minded, with a particular passion for add-on sales and up-selling the range in a way that inspires our customers. You have excellent communication skills and have established experience in a retail environment and demonstrate excellent rapport building qualities.

We are looking for someone who is confident in approaching customers and treats them in a polite and friendly manner. A person who is passionate about actively offering all the services available in the IKEA store to help customers make informed choices, which results in a great shopping experience.

You are someone who is confident communicating with customers in various formats, by phone, email and in person. Ensuring that contact is made with customers prior to their appointment and that this contact continues through the process of support the customer to design their dream kitchen, creating quotations and answering any questions until the customer is ready to purchase their kitchen and beyond.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY

• You will be responsible for delivering a personalised customer experience from planning through to sale and liaising with our Customer Relations to resolve any after sales issues, using multichannel ways of working.
• To achieve an enjoyable, convenient, and successful shopping and buying experience that leads to increased sales and sustained long-term profitability.
• To create satisfied customers in an efficient and effective way by using all media and sales channels available.
• Attract and encourage more customers to visit more often and buy more. This is achieved by optimising the sales priorities using commercial activities and securing the right forecasts for the total IKEA offer.
• Secure that the IKEA Store is the first choice for home furnishing purchased on the local market.
• The main responsibilities are to ensure satisfied customers, develop and execute sales steering and selling the IKEA way.
• Optimise the IKEA shopping experience within the kitchens department to secure satisfied customers and increase sales.
• Support the kitchens shopkeeper and management team in leading and inspiring the department team
• To convert IKEA visitors to customers by using a deep knowledge of the IKEA product range and services.
• Use a wide variety of IKEA tools and systems with the support, experience and expertise of your colleagues.
• You will be working towards weekly, monthly & annual sales targets.
• You will take responsibility for the whole customer journey from planning through to after sales care.
