Job description
You will optimise the IKEA shopping experience in your area of responsibility to secure satisfied customers and increase sales through your knowledge of the IKEA range, life at home, and the local market competition in all sales channels. You support in maximising the sales potential, turnover, volume and profit by securing the easy buying experience of the customer (“first time right”) and by highlighting opportunities for growth. IKEA Sukhumvit will be part of the Emsphere retail development on Sukhumvit Road and is due to open in December 2023.
· Work together with the Showroom/Markethall Manager to secure commercial opportunities and priorities in a multichannel environment through sales steering of top articles, range presentation, execution of the service offer, local relevance and knowledge on competition to maximise growth.
· Work together with the Showroom/Markethall Manager to analyse and follow-up on both qualitative and quantitative performance. Together we identify gaps, and continuously focus on improving the mechanical sales system and easy buying & easy selling process in the store together with the team.
· Work together with the Showroom/Markethall Manager to secure an effective range management process together with the team by securing an efficient & consistent range change process, range efficiency with a high return per m2, solid forecasting & ordering process and consistent sales space management.
· Secure that your team understands their contribution towards improving the customer experience in the store (“first time right” mindset) and that they maintain a high level of service standard.
· Ensure the right number of co-workers are in the right place at the right time to run your store area successfully and ensure that the co-workers are ready and available to serve customers and help them buy.
· Support a customer-friendly and efficient execution of the payments and exchange & returns.
Qualification
· Passion for the IKEA business and values.
· Passion for selling while striving to ensure that the customer consistently have an easy shopping experience and that IKEA is able to exceed customer’s expectations.
· Passion for developing people as well as growing personal competence and using this to benefit of IKEA.
· Proven record of good and successful leadership and skilled in creating a high commercial performance
· Good knowledge of the IKEA Retail Concept & Retailing Methods - Active Selling, Range Presentation and 10 Steps work method.
· Good understanding of the easy buying & easy selling process and all aspects of the home-to-home shopping experience.
· Good understanding on how to secure a smooth operation for payments and exchange & returns.
